European Markets Closed Higher

European stocks gained on Friday as banking stocks rally after the results of U.S. stress tests and energy shares gained on the back of higher crude prices.Royal Bank of Scotland soared 14.4 percent after it posted a small first quarter loss.Energy Shares, Royal Dutch Shell rose 2.4 percent and ENI shares climbed 3.4 percent.

FTSE 100 index gained 1.44 pct up 63.41 points to 4,462.09.
Germany's DAX gained 2.29 pct up 109.80 points to 4,913.90.
France's CAC 40 gained 1.88 pct up 61.07 points to 3,312.59.
