Asian markets open lower on Tuesday following Wall Street cues.Japan's Nikkei 225 Average was down 1 percent.Australian stocks was down 1.1 percent, as banks and miners trading lower.Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc. down 3.1 percent.Mining shares trading lower with BHP Billiton Ltd., the world’s No. 1 mining company, down 2.4 percent.Sony down 2.8 percentas the yen strengthened against the dollar.Toyota Motor Corp. down 1.6 percent.
Britain's FTSE 100 was down 0.6 percent, Germany's DAX index down 0.96 percent, and France's CAC-40 slid 1.93 percent.Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 155.88, or 1.8 percent, to 8,418.77.Nasdaq Composite fell 7.76, or 0.45%, to 1731.24.The Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 19.99, or 2.2 percent, to 909.24.
Nikkei Stock Average 225 was down 1.44 pct to 9,315.67.
Hang Seng Index was down 0.34 pct to 17,030.64.
Straits Times Index down 0.99% at 2,144.68.
Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.58 pct to 2,594.66.
